NOW HIRING

You see the signs everywhere here in Alberta. Everyone is hiring, and it seems that no one can get enough employees. For a company like Clark Builders having enough employees to put on their job sites is crucial. With an increasing number of people, young and old, going to the internet to find jobs, it was a natural step for Clark Builders to launch a Careers site.

Donna Smith, Clark Builder's Manager of Corporate Communication had this to say about the project "We are very excited about our revamped 'careers' site. For Clark Builders, it was important that this project meet a number of end-user needs and expectations both inside and outside our business...

The best part of working with Steve and Chris was that they listened. And then they listened to us some more. They understood our requirements, added their expertise, perspective and creativity, and worked with us to achieve the end result.
Along the way, we had a lot of fun too.
We've already committed to future work with Box Clever.

Flash(y) and Editable

Clark Builders wanted a really great looking site, something eye-catching and professional. They also wanted to be able to add and delete job listings, post new employee profiles, and change other text on the site whenever they wanted.

The solution is a clever mix of Flash and HTML with our Web Guide Content Management System built in. This means that Clark Builders received the eye-catching movement and navigation that they wanted, and can also edit the text through the secure back-end of the website through our CMS.

Eye-Catching Photos

From the beginning we knew that an important part of the look of this site would be photos. We brought in the very talented Michele and Dave from Roth and Ramberg to do a photo shoot at the new Robbins Health Learning Centre at MacEwan College downtown. The result was a lot of really great images that we know use for the Jobs website and many other Clark projects such as the Flash ad on the main Clark website and newspaper ads.

But It's About Results

Sure we can make a website that runs really well and looks really nice, but in the end the most important question to ask is "Are our goals being met?". For the Clark Jobs site the answer is definitely "Yes." Almost immediately after the site's launch the applications starting coming in from locally and all around the world. Within 30 days 40 applications had been received online and the Job Listings had been viewed nearly 500 times. Within 6 months the numbers jumped to 230 applications and 3,000 views.

With that many applications coming in it was important to stay organized. The system we developed for Clark's HR department makes it very easy for them to sort through the applicants to find the right person to bring in for an interview. They are also notified when someone new applies and are sent an email with their resumé attached.
