eCommerce Site Launch for Local Edmonton Business

Nothing beats the depth of sound you get from a vinyl record.

Vinyl sales have been increasing over the last couple years, and Todd McLean knows it. Todd is an Edmonton-based entrepreneur with a passion for music and a fascination with the LP – he just recently launched Moonshot Phonographs, a 100% Canadian owned and operated vinyl record company.

We were stoked to help Moonshot bring their brand to life online with a responsive, modern eCommerce experience. We made it simple for musicians to order their original music, in large quantities online. Leading music apps like SoundCloud and Spotify inspired the vibrant retro colours and gradients in a way that still feels modern. The colour palette is warm and inviting, with a retro-nod perfectly complementing the Moonshot brand.

This eCommerce design was focused around framing a journey for the site visitor – the path to purchase is super simple and distraction free. For custom orders, a variety of options are provided allowing shoppers to select everything from record weight to colour to jacket type. Each purchase confirmation email includes a link to WeTransfer for musicians to easily upload and send their files.

Moonshot will be a welcomed new addition to Edmonton's vibrant music scene!
